As you know, we are not just a pro-birth ministry. We are Pro-LIFE, dedicated to supporting ABUNDANT life. Our "Earn While You Learn" program walks alongside families for over two years after their baby is born. This program equips parents with vital education, biblical foundations, and resources to help their families grow and thrive.
Why Velas? Meeting a Growing Need
With more moms choosing life, our Hope Women’s Clinic is busier than ever, supporting women in crisis pregnancies. To continue meeting these urgent needs while also expanding long-term support, we are thrilled to announce the opening of Velas: A Resource and Education Center in Bayamón in 2025!
Velas, which means “sails,” represents our mission to empower families to THRIVE after choosing life, with the gospel of Christ as their guiding wind. This new center will allow us to:
Expand "Earn While You Learn": This program provides moms with practical education, biblical teaching, and resources to support their families’ growth and success. By relocating it to Velas, we can dedicate more time and space to equipping moms.
Relieve Overcrowding at Hope Women’s Clinic: Our pregnancy center can focus on helping women in crisis while Velas becomes a thriving hub for long-term support.
Offer a Community Resource: Velas will house a vibrant thrift store and boutique, providing affordable essentials for families while serving as a connection point for local outreach.
A Bridge Between Churches and Families
Velas will also serve as a vital link between local churches and the moms we support. Churches can:
Donate Supplies: From diapers to baby clothes, churches can help stock Velas with items that moms earn through the program.
Engage Directly: Build relationships with the moms in our programs, offering spiritual encouragement and practical support to families in need.
