Pregnancy centers are often misrepresented, and misconceptions can prevent women from accessing the compassionate care and support they truly need. At Love The Nations, we believe every woman deserves to be informed, respected, and empowered—especially during one of the most vulnerable times in her life. Let’s take a moment to clear the air and debunk some of the most common myths about pregnancy centers.
Myth #1: Pregnancy centers are fake clinics.
This couldn’t be further from the truth. We operate fully within the law. Our sonogram machines are authorized for use under the medical license of our medical director, and all sonograms are performed by a licensed sonographer. At our center, we offer limited medical services under the direction of licensed professionals. These services include lab-quality pregnancy tests and ultrasounds, all provided in a safe, confidential setting. Our staff is trained to provide accurate information and compassionate care—never pressure or judgment.
Myth #2: We manipulate women into choosing life.
Our goal is simple: to provide women with the facts about all of their options so they can make informed decisions. We never benefit financially from any choice a woman makes. We listen without judgment, give medically accurate information, and support each woman no matter her decision. Our clients consistently tell us they feel cared for, not coerced.
Myth #3: We only care about the baby.
We care deeply about both mother and baby. Many of our staff and volunteers have walked through their own crisis pregnancies, and some have experienced abortion firsthand. They offer care and compassion not from a place of judgment, but from personal understanding. They know the fear, the questions, and the pain—and they’re here to walk alongside other women facing the same challenges. Through our parenting classes, mentorship, and material assistance—including diapers, baby clothes, and more—we support moms physically, emotionally, and spiritually. No one should have to face pregnancy or parenting alone, and at our center, they don’t have to.
Myth #4: We don't support women after they give birth.
Our commitment doesn’t end with delivery. We offer support for over a year after birth, including life-skills classes, relationship support, and community referrals. For women struggling after abortion, we offer a faith-based recovery program called Camino a Sanar—a safe, confidential space for healing.
At the heart of everything we do is love. We’re here to serve women with dignity, offer hope in crisis, and empower them to make decisions that align with their values. If you or someone you know is facing an unplanned pregnancy, we’re here to help—without judgment, pressure, or cost.
Because women deserve to be fully informed and genuinely supported.
